GARE ENTRE PARVIS ET TERRASSE
Le projet a cherché à restituer la logique spatiale et architecturale du bâtiment originel de 1846 pour organiser les espaces voyageurs. Le grand hall d'entrée a retrouvé son volume initial et les voyageurs accèdent aux quais en descendant dans un patio planté qui redonne une double orientation au bâtiment. La terrasse en bois couvrant les locaux d'exploitation à l'arrière devient le pendant du parvis et sonplatelage accueille maintenant les tables d'un restaurant. Les ajouts tels que passerelle, édicule Orly-bus ou verrière sont réalisés dans un vocabulaire contemporain, dialoguant avec la maçonnerie ancienne de la gare.

The project tried to restore the spatial and architectural system of the original station built in 1846 in order to re-design the travellers’ spaces. The entrance hall finds back its first volume. Travellers arrive to the platform going down to a planted patio, which gives a double aspect to the building. The wooden terrace covering the plant room backside becomes the parvis equivalent and its decking hosts nowadays restaurants’ tables. Supplementary elements, such as footbridge, Orly-bus small-building or glass-roof are made in a contemporary design creating a relation with the station original masonry.
