UNE GARE À DOUBLE FACE
Avec l'arrivée du tram jusqu'à la gare et la poursuite de la ligne vers les quartiers Belcier, la rénovation des espaces publics du pôle intermodal s'inscrit dans le programme des transformations urbaines majeures de cette dernière décennie à Bordeaux. Notre projet dépasse le strict périmètre du concours pour projeter la vision d'une future grande gare métropolitaire TGV/grandes lignes/TER avec les effets induits sur le renouvellement urbain des quartiers côté sud-est car le développement de cette grande gare dans les prochaines années passera par une restructuration profonde entraînant un rééquilibrage des façades côté ville et côté Belcier. Cette orientation permettra de désaturer et réorganiser le parvis actuel, encombré par tous les modes de transport (bus, cars, tram, taxi, voitures).

With the new tramway going to the main station and the continuity of the line to the Belcier’s districts, the renovation of the public spaces of the intermodal pole is included in a program of hudge urban renewal in Bordeaux for the past decade. In our project, we already planned a big metropolitan station with domestic and also urban transportations, causing urban renewal for the south-east district. The development of this station will go with a new structure balancing the elevations on the city side and the Belcier’s side. This option will give a better organization to the actual parvis, crowded with every kind of transportations.
